Mamun taught finance at the University of New Orleans and Massey University in New Zealand before moving to the University of Saskatchewan, where he is an associate professor and Graduate Chair in Finance at the Edwards School of Business.
Professor Mamun has wide research interests. His current projects involve bank risk management, financial economics, and mergers and acquisitions among credit unions. He has published in the Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Review of Financial Economics, Journal of Policy Modeling, International Review of Finance, Applied Financial Economics, Applied Economics Letters, and Journal of Economics and Finance. He is also active in professional organizations, having served on the program committees of the Eastern Finance Association, the Southwestern Finance Association, and the Academy of Financial Services.
